Powerful Text-to-Give Fundraising for your WordPress Website

Text-to-Give Powered by Twilio
Our Text-to-Give add-on is powered by Stripe and Twilio through the GiveWP donation plugin. This enables you to manage your text-to-give campaigns in the same way you manage all your other online fundraising.
Simple Setup
- Connect GiveWP to Twilio to get started.
- Create a text-to-give donation form or enable text-to-give on your existing forms.
2-Step Donations
Once you’ve set up your text-to-give forms, your donors can give in two simple steps.
- Text your dedicated donation number.
- Register and confirm.
What does Twilio Cost for Text Giving?
Twilio has a monthly cost for the phone number and a “pay as you go” cost per SMS message.
Each phone number you register (at the time of this writing) costs $1/month.
Each SMS message costs $0.0075 to send and the same cost again to receive.
With the GiveWP Text-to-Give solution, the first time a donor registers to give via SMS there can be as few as 3 sent/received messages or as many as 5 or 6, depending on how many times the donor replies to the text message.
After the donor has registered, they can donate again with as few as 4 SMS messages (their donation amount, your request for confirmation, their confirmation, thank you text).
So if you have 20 donors who each donate 2 times in a month, at $50 for each donation, this is costs you could incur:
- $0.60 for 20 initial donations averaging 4 messages each, or 80 SMS messages
- $0.60 for 20 follow-up donations, averaging 4 messages each
- $1.00 for the phone number for the month
- $70 for your Stripe credit card fees. Based on 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction (100 transactions). Note that 501c3’s often get a lower fee rate with Stripe
The result is that you raised $2,000 and paid $70 in Stripe fees and $2.20 in Twilio fees for a total of $72.20
